The book on the bedside table.

Search by title, the app fills in the author and cover. Your home page quietly remembers what was open this morning.

Add a book in seconds

Title in, author and cover filled.

Tap Add book on the reading log, search by title, the app fills in the author and a cover image for you. Add a start date, a completion date when they finish, and a rating if your child wants to give one. That is the whole form.

Each child's open book sits on the home page, with the cover and a link back to the reading log. A small touch - the kind that reminds you what was open on the bedside table this morning.

Find what they read

Across a term, ready for the LA.

Search by title or author, filter by child, narrow to a date range. Useful when you are pulling together what a child read this term, or when an LA officer (your local-authority home-education officer) asks for examples of literacy.

A CSV export from your account gives you a tidy table of titles, authors, and dates to attach alongside your Local Authority report. Reading sits in your records as evidence the same way activities do.

Share a book, find a book

Quietly moderated, kindly shared.

Tap the share icon on a book in your reading log and it goes to other UK home-ed families. They see your suggestion in the Book Ideas tab, upvote what helps, save favourites with the heart icon.

If a suggestion does not feel right, anyone can flag it, and a book is hidden once three different families flag it. Light-touch moderation, designed to stay quiet.

In the app

How it sits inside Willowfolio.

Five small surfaces. The reading log is where everything starts; the rest are the places it shows up later in the week.

Common questions

The things families ask first.

What if the book is not in any database?
Add it manually. Title, author, and your own notes. The cover stays as a default placeholder unless you upload one. The reading log does not refuse a book because a search came up empty.
Can my child see the reading log?
Children do not have logins or accounts of any kind. The reading log is yours, and you decide what to read aloud from it. If you want to share a list with your child, you do it yourself, the same way you would with a paper journal.
Are book recommendations from the community moderated?
Lightly. Any family can flag a book, and once three different families have flagged it, the book is hidden. We do not pre-screen, because pre-screening would slow the community down for the sake of an unlikely problem.
